About

All In The Family

I come from a long line of carpenters and joiners, going back as far as my great grandfather, and have a vast knowledge of joinery skills: everything from first fix carpentry and skirting to repairing antique furniture.

As well as carrying out standard jobs, I hand craft custom made furniture to suit my customers' own specifications. Whether it's a one day job or a long term project, all work is carried out in a professional and expert manner.

Kevin Grubb

I was born in Bath to a family that has a long line of cabinet makers, carpenters, and joiners, so from a young age I was drawn to this line of work.

I began my career with a five year apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery and have since worked for a number of small and large joinery firms in and around Bath. The time I spent training as a wood machinist and technician has helped me understand the characteristics that different woods have, enabling me to craft both internal pieces (such as furniture, stairs or kitchens) and external pieces (such as windows, doors or conservatories).

Outside of work, I have a passion for sports and travelling. I’m a fan of all sports: football, tennis, and rugby, in particular, and I actively participated in Bath County league tennis while growing up.

I have also enjoyed seeing the world and frequently travel to the Alps in Switzerland and Austria, and recently returned from a trip to Southeast Asia.
